Network Penetration Testing

Network Penetration testing additionally called pen testing or ethical hacking is the practice of testing a computer system or network to find security vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit.
Penetration testing is where a security specialist or cybersecurity provider performs an authorized and safe cyber attack on systems to exploit any vulnerabilities and find points of access for attacks.
The objective is to address vulnerabilities before they can be harmful.

My Approach to Network Security Assessments

Penetration Testing constitutes that part of a security assessment practice that attempts to simulate the techniques adopted by an attacker in compromising the target systems. My penetration testing methodology is well aligned with established standards and practices, combined with my extensive experience.

Internal Penetration

This test simulates a within-the-organization attack behind the firewall by an authorized user with standard access privileges.

External Penetration

External penetration testing targets an organization’s publically visible servers or devices including domain name servers (DNS), e-mail servers, Web servers, or firewalls.

Why Penetration Testing is important?

Penetration testing allows you to find the vulnerabilities in your network and better prepare for cyber attacks. Some benefits of security penetration testing include:
  • Protecting the company's image and with customers by helping you avoid data leaks and other dangerous attacks.
  • Determining if a network meets regulations to avoid possible penalties.
  • Saving the time and money that data breaches will cost a company.
  • Prioritizing the vulnerabilities. There may be several vulnerabilities, and penetration testing can determine which ones should be managed first.
Penetration testing can help an enterprise prevent cyber attacks and data breaches without having to hire an in-house team of security experts.
